Behind Geraldine

Michael keeps records of people and the places that shape them

Geraldine was this mythical place for me. A place that tested who I was and what I was willing to navigate to achieve my goals. I spent many nights camped around this lake. Hoping to summit the nearby peaks. Lots of mistakes were made the first time. Only to keep coming back. This period in my life was one I look back on so fondly, primarily because it was filled with pure adventure. Never knowing how I was going to make it to the next place, sometimes not even knowing how I was going to eat that night. I kept pursuing. I kept going towards the things I wanted.

Geraldine serves as a reminder to never leave my truest self behind.

Years later, life took me on wild rides through the southwestern part of the USA, living in a van - photographing weddings and people alike. From there, I went the complete opposite way to NYC, which propelled me to the PNW. A place that is now home.

My life outside of photography is one of high adventure, cafes, and random hobbies
